Josh Allen is undoubtedly one of the most talented quarterbacks, bursting onto the big scene.
The 26-year-old maestro has been the most electrifying and scintillating youngsters for Buffalo Bills, who is eager to make a name for himself. Having shown his caliber previously, many fanatics believe, he could be a Super Bowl Champion when paired with veteran wideout, Stefon Diggs.
The latest to believe this claim was analyst, Stephen A. Smith who not only praised the dynamic duo ahead of the season opener against Tennessee Titans. But also emphasized upon how these two can take this franchise to its ultimate glory.
While discussing the more impactful duo amongst Diggs & Allen and Stafford & Kupp, Smith argued about his case and opinion. Summarizing Buffalo Bills as one of the leading championship contenders against all odds.
Smith argued with his fellow panellist, Michael, “I respectfully disagree. He’s why – “Buffalo’s are on a climb. We need to think about what we think about this franchise all these years who lost four straight Super Bowls. This is the best chance they have to capture the Super Bowl.”
Stephen A. Smith in awe of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs
The 54-year-old sports media personality added, “When we think about Josh Allen and his 329 yards, he threw against the Kansas City in the Division playoff game. He and Patrick Mahomes goin at it. Then we think about Josh Allen and his last season. Where were his 300 yard-games? Apart from the 366 (yards) he threw against New York Jets. He threw 300 yards in the win against Kansas City. He did it again in the loss to Tenessa on Monday Night Football, he did against the Tampa Bay as well. Obviously in the playoffs, he had back-to-back 300+ yard-games in the blowout win against New England and again in the loss to Kansas City.
“I think about Josh Allen and this being his year, he has arrived. Then I think about Stefon Diggs….this brother is something special.”
That being said, Josh Allen has already shown signs of fitting well with Stefon Diggs in the past. The primary issue because of which Bills have ‘flopped’ in clinching the silverware in four-straight-Super Bowl-attempts has been the clear ego and personal clashes amongst its own players.
With both Josh Allen and his 28-year-old wide receiver itching to units on the field, it remains to be seen how they would perform, especially in the latter half of the upcoming season.
