On one hand, where the Baltimore Ravens are looking simply breath-taking in the 2022-23 season, the same cannot be stated for the Super Bowl finalists from last year–Cincinnati Bengals. With Justin Fields looking to take center stage to seal the win the first home win for his team, Shannon Sharpe seems to be impressed with Baltimore Ravens.

Yes, that right! Baltimore Ravens secured their first home victory of the 2022-23 season by beating the Cincinnati Bengals 19-17. They also moved into the numero uno spot in the AFC North, ahead of both Bengals and Cleveland Browns (both of whom are 2-3 after Week 5).

It seems like Joe Burrow delivered the knockout punch to Baltimore Ravens by leading his team on a touchdown drive and finding the end zone inside of the two-minute warning. But Lamar Jackson crafted his game-winning drive.

Shannon Sharpe makes Baltimore Ravens as a serious Super Bowl contender

Ravens were never stressed despite Bengals bringing the game close. However, if it wasn’t for Mark Andrews and Devin Duvernay, things could have been different for the Baltimore Ravens in this showdown.

Lamar Jackson

Shannon Sharpe quoted on the latest episode of Undisputed, “I would give him 6 (out of 10) apart from that last drive. Lamar Jackson made this game a lot closer than it needed to be. The only criticism I have of Lamar is his inconsistency in throwing the football at times. On that last drive…he was Lamar! If Lamar can just clean up the inconsistency in throwing the football, this will be a tough team to beat. Even though I gave him a 6, I’m picking the Baltimore Ravens to win this division. But they should probably be 5-0 right now Skip.”
