Kansas City Chiefs won their 8th game of the 2022-23 season, courtesy to Travis Kelce making tight end history against the Los Angeles Chargers. In a battle between two Quarterbacks – Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, it was the former who got the last laugh as he found his #1 target for the third time in the contest to register a 30-27 victory.
It was Chargers who took the lead behind Josh Palmer’s second TD of the game, a 6-yard strike from Hebert to go up 27-23. Things seemed to swing in their favor until the magic of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes took place. This surely made former NFL star Ryan Clark realize how ‘smooth’ Chiefs’ Tight end is and always has been.
Ryan Clark wrote in his latest tweet after Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers, “Travis Kelce so dang smooth… hit that boy with a stupid hezi.”

While he still has some years at his disposal, it is safe to say that Kelce is on the list with Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Rob Gronkowski, Mike Ditka, Ozzie Newsome, John Mackey and Shannon Sharpe. Mahomes says what sets Kelce apart is how much his competitive nature and work ethic inspire the rest of the team.
His QB “He just competes. He’s gonna keep fighting until the very end. When you see that, not only is it impressive for him, but it gets other guys going. Like I said, he’s one of the best if not the best tight end of all time, but he’s coming to work every day to get better.
“So that shows you, whenever you step in the facility, you’re like, ‘Man, I’ve got to get to work, if this guy is doing that, I have to at least match that.’”
