There are many players who enter the NFL with the highest level of expectations burdened upon their shoulders but fail to deliver. However, Jacksonville Jaguars’ star Trevor Lawrence is surely not one of those as he has finally managed to justify why he was selected as the first overall pick in the 2021-NFL Draft.
Turning out to be a Bonafide signal-caller, Trevor Lawrence finished 28-of-39 for over 260 yards and three TouchDowns. Moreover, he had zero interceptions in his team’s latest rout over the Los Angeles Chargers. It is safe to safe that between Lawrence’s improvement to lead his offensive line and Doug Pederson’s stability, this team has looked like the best team in AFC.
To add to his legendary shown on Sunday, Trevor Lawrence wasn’t even allowed by his team to be sacked. If only Lawrence would’ve picked up the same pace in Week 1 against the Commanders, the Jacksonville Jaguar could’ve very well been 3-0 in the 2022-23 NFL Season.
With Trevor Lawrence joining the same rank as the game’s biggest modern-day stars, the Jaguars could very well replicate what Cincinnati Bengals did in the previous season. The showdown on Sunday only went onto showcase how Jaguars could destroy one of the favorites to win the championships, while running on full cylinders. The action on Sunday was surely watched by sports media personality – Nick Wright who gave his honest views upon the charismatic QB.
Nick Wright quoted, “He was the best Quarterback when he was 15,17,19,21 and now he’s going to be the same being 23. I will take Trevor Lawrence over Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow & Tua Tagovailoa long-term. Trevor is coming for them all. I’m telling you, he’s the real deal. The Jags are going to be a problem for people.”
Knowing that the entire caliber of a franchise changes when a worthy Quarterback steps in the system. Could this be the moment Jacksonville was waiting for, with Trevor Lawrence?? Remains to be seen.
