On a night which had Lamar Jackson’s heroics written all over it, Tua Tagovailoa decided to showcase just why he is a franchise Quarterback and simply isn’t aware of the term – losing. Since the early stages of the Dolphins vs Ravens encounter, Tua was on song and the same was noted by sports media veteran – Stephen A Smith.
From making the initial plays to set his team up to throwing for four TouchDowns in the fourth quarter, helping to team to bounce back from a 21-point deficit, Tua Tagovailoa was on song, on-point and perhaps even had his greatest ever individual highlight.
Stephen A Smith tweeted, “People, I can’t front: @Tua looks pretty damn good throwing this football tor the @MiamiDolphins. It’s still early. It’s only 7-7, but he’s made some damn good throws this first half. Just letting y’all know.”

The Baltimore Ravens had built a 35-14 lead after the end of three quarters, solely on the backs of Lamar Jackson, who finished 21-of-29 for 318 yards and three TouchDowns. Moreover, Jackson rushed nine times for 119 yards and a score. To talk about the record, he broke – Lamar Jackson became the first player to have a 75-yard passing TouchDown and 75-yard rushing TouchDown in the same game. He also had his 11th 110-yard rushing game as a QB, breaking Michael Vick’s record in the history of the league.
On such a glamorous night for Lamar, the limelight was stolen by Tua Tagovailoa and his vertical passing game in the last quarter. He threw four TD passes and 189 yards to inspire Miami Dolphins’ comeback.
What’s even more impressive? Tua Tagovailoa led Dolphins out-scored Ravens 28-3 in the last frame.
Tua is just the second Quarterback to throw four TouchDown passes in the fourth quarter on the road, joining Joe Montana in 1989. That being said, it wasn’t just Tua, but even the legend of Tyreek Hill was also elaborated upon in this stunning victory for the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.
