Watch: Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa shows signs of concussion after taking a brutal hit against the Bills

On one hand where the Miami Dolphins managed to secure a hard-fought win against the Buffalo Bills – their Quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa took a brutal hit in the first half, which visibly shook him up to the core. Tua Tagovailoa attempted a throw to his left while under pressure. He fell to the turf, striking back his helmet to the skull. As hard as the fall was, Tua staggered to his feet before falling down, making everyone in the Dolphins’ dugout tensed. 

After which Tua Tagovailoa was sent to the locker room for a medical evaluation. He was initially listed with a head injury. Making his status questionable for the remainder of the game. But majority of fans were surprised when they saw the marquee Quarterback, running out of to lead the Dolphins in the second half. Moreover, he went onto play the rest of the game with ease. 

Tua Tagovailoa’s injury enables NFLPA to investigate matters

While Tua Tagovailoa played via some back pain, NFLPA was not satisfied and decided to take matters in their own hand. Following the conclusion of Dolphins’ triumph over the Bills, NFLPA wanted to inquire upon how the same player was cleared during halftime. As under the terms of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, the NFLPA, NFL Management Council or any player themself has to right to bring forward a complaint regarding how a player was handled under the concussion protocol. 

When Head Coach – Mike McDaniel confirmed that Tua played through some back pain, the investigation was told get even more intense. However, the player concerned, himself, told that he hit his back first on the ground. Moreover, to add to this claim, Tua Tagovailoa even had an ice pack on his back after the game.

What drama awaits in this story? Remains to be seen, but for now – thankfully Tua Tagovailoa is all fine.
