Buffalo Bills blew out the smoke from Pittsburgh Steelers’ core 38-3 in their Week 5 showdown, and it all started with marquee Quarterback – Josh Allen taking matters in his own hand to throw an incredible 98-yard TouchDown pass to Gabe Davis. Which evidently left the commentators, fans and team members in utter disbelief.
After a sloppy start courtesy to Taiwan Jones, Josh Allen added some energy to his Bills’ side on third down. Having thrown an unbelievable 98-yard pass to Gabe Davis, Allen tied a franchise record for the longest TouchDown pass in Bills’ history – Ryan Fitzpatrick also threw the same distance to Terrell Owens against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
On one hand where the majority of the credit goes to Josh Allen, one has to applaud the run made by Gabe Davis, who has been struggling to burst out since Week 1. The wide receiver managed to register 88 receiving yards and a TouchDown against the LA Rams in Week 1, after which it had been quite a dry spell for him, especially around the zone.
Josh Allen inspires Bills to thump Steelers 38-3
Josh Allen, who is the biggest critic of himself wasn’t happen even after such an applaud-worthy performance. Being one of the front runners for the MVP accolade of 2022-23 season, Allen suggested that he is disappointed to not complete every throw in such a game.
To be precise about his performance – Josh Allen threw four TouchDown passes, two of which were to Gabe Davis and the other two to – rookie Khalil Shakir and Stefon Diggs. He threw for 348 yards in the first half, and a tally of career-high 424 yards before the leaving the game.
That being said, with this win Josh Allen led Buffalo Bills are 4-1 in the 2022-23 season and currently at the numero uno spot in the AFC East. Could this be their year? Surely, if Josh Allen continues in the same rhythm.
