Dallas Cowboys wants to leave no stone unturned in making a bid to acquire free agent Odell Beckham Jr., who is weeks away from making his return to the football after a devastating ACL injury in the Super Bowl 56 showdown.
After Jerry Jones publicly praised OBJ, it seems like responsibility is being carry forwarded by running back Ezekiel Elliot to lure the former star. Over the past few weeks, several personnel inside the organization have made it clear that they desperately want to add Odell Beckham Jr. in their casket.
On Wednesday, Elliot said via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Clarence Hill Jr, “We want him. We want OBJ.”
Odell Beckham Jr. revealed previously his top 4 destinations – Packers, Giants, Bills and Cowboys. Having already left out the defending champs, it is clear that the veteran WR wants to join a team which will be contesting in the playoffs.
Given that Cowboys are desperately in need to add a wide receiver in their offensive unit, their disinterest in making moves even on deadline day, can be a huge hint upon their forthcoming chase for Odell Beckham Jr. Currently sitting at 6-2, the Cowboys have some crucial matches in the coming weeks, wherein they need to register wins in order to feature in the playoffs.
CeeDee Lamb, Noah Brown and Michael Gallup are the top 3 WRs for Jerry Jones’ team wherein Lamb has proved to be a leading WR. To those unaware about his stats – he has recorded 43 receptions for 556 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season. But past Lamb, there has been a lack of production. This is just where Odell Beckham jr. can change the scenario for this team.
