Many believe that Cleveland Brown are a completely different team when defensive end Myles Garrett plays. Being the #1 overall pick by Cleveland itself in 2017, Garrett has recorded a tally of 61.5 sacks in just over 70 games. He’s just one sack away from becoming the team’s leader in this tally.
On Monday, Browns revealed that Myles Garrett has been involved in a car crash in Sharon Township at the 560 block of State Road. Being the only car that was involved in the incident as per Garrett’s manager – Sgt. Ray Santiago too gave an update about the health status of the star defensive end.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that Myles Garrett’s grey Porsche 911 went off the right side of the road. Fortunately, as soon as the accident happened, Garrett was taken to the hospital, where it was revealed that he had no major injured. Although he was with a passenger, who sustained minor injuries but nothing malicious took place even to that spoken off personnel.
When will Browns’ defensive end Myles Garrett return?
Given that Garrett has been involved in a car crash, he is most likely to be benched for October 2 clash against the Atlanta Falcons. Even after sustaining no major injuries, the American Health and Wellness Center states that returning too soon after a crash can ‘increase’ the chances of re-injury or developing a chronic condition that will lead to a longer recovery.
Myles Garrett was released from the hospital as well on the same evening. Nicole Lynn, who is the former’s agent even thanked medical personnel for getting the 26-year-old defensive and an unidentified female passenger out of his vehicle and transporting him to the hospital at the earliest.
That being said will the Cleveland Brown be able to keep their defense intact without Myles Garrett against the Falcons? All speculations will be answered when they take center stage on October 2.
