Baker Mayfield is looking to find a way out of the Cleveland Browns, but so far he hasn’t found any success in it.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is probably going to part ways with the team soon. He was obviously furious that the team was trying to replace him with another quarterback.
Although Baker wants to switch teams, there hasn’t been much interest in signing him. He is forced to remain with the Browns as a result. However, the franchise itself is in a precarious position. Deshaun Watson will probably miss the entire season of league play. They are left without a talented quarterback since Mayfield is relocating.
Right now, Mayfield is a target for both the Carolina Panthers and the Seattle Seahawks. These two clubs both require a quarterback, and Baker may be the one to provide it.
The Seahawks are still using Geno Smith and Drew Lock as their quarterbacks because they haven’t yet replaced Russell Wilson. They will either try to acquire Mayfield from the Browns or they will go winless in the following season in order to acquire a solid quarterback in the draft.
The Carolina Panthers, on the other hand, tested the waters with two quarterbacks last season. Sam Darnold and Cam Newton did not work for them. They are thought to be the best candidates to sign Mayfield, and it will work out well for all parties.
Cleveland Browns will be in a dilemma without Baker Mayfield
With Deshaun Watson set to face a lengthy suspension, it’s very likely that the Cleveland Browns will be without a starting quarterback. As things currently stand, Baker Mayfield will not play for the Browns again.
With Baker set to find another franchise to join and play, the Cleveland Browns will be looking to find solutions about the quarterback position for the season, if Watson ends up missing the whole season.
