It is hard to keep Buffalo Bills’ Quarterback Josh Allen out of the mix for the most skilled QBs in modern-day NFL. Having emerged as the main-man for his team in the 2022-23 season, Allen is one of the handful of players who are contesting in the tight battle for this seasons’ MVP accolade.

It is safe to urge that since being drafted in the 2018, Josh Allen has emerged as the most mature and calming Quarterback, not only in that entire class (which included the likes of Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold) but even when compared to Quarterbacks who came much before in the league as well.

On the same note let us look back upon the history of Josh Allen and where he played in his college year. Allen played at the University of Wyoming for three seasons wherein each year he had a substantial growth.

How was Josh Allen at the University of Wyoming?

In his first year at the University of Wyoming Josh Allen has no major impact as he had just one start. That too wasn’t impressive or pleasing as he broke his collarbone, which ended his season. However, this changed when Allen was named as the starting QB in his second year. This is just where Allen’s potential started showing.

In his second season he threw for 3,200 yards and 28 TouchDowns. With the entire media behind his back, trying to get him into the league, Allen decided to opt in his own manner. Initially it was reported that Allen was thinking about going pro in the 2017 NFL Draft but decided to return to University of Wyoming for another year which was not his best, but he decided to declare for the NFL Draft in 2018.
