Betting might be legal in United States but it is never a good idea to bet upon the same league and games – which you contest in – just ask Calvin Ridley. The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver has been suspended by the NFL authorities for at least the entire 2022-23 season after found gambling on games in the previous season.

The league revealed in an official statement that Calvin ridley was found betting on five-consecutive games in November 2021 when he was on the non-football injury list to address his mental health.

Ridley stated that he bet over $1,000 total and that he doesn’t have an addiction to gambling. On the other hand, NFL determined that Calvin Ridley placed multilegged parlay bets involving three, five and eight games that included the Atlanta Falcons to win through his mobile.

Calvin Ridley would not contest in the entire 2022-23 season

The 27-year-old WR of Falcons said, “I bet 1500 total I didn’t have a gambling problem. I couldn’t even watch football at that point. Just gone be healthier when I come back. If you know me, you know my character.”

That being said, Calvin Ridley will be able to apply for reinstatement to the league from February 15, 2023 and also has the option of appealing the suspension anytime he feels like. However, after his suspension, it seems like the Atlanta Falcons Wide Receiver has maintained a low profile and is concentrating on sorting out his personal life, even at this moment.
