Daniel Jones played a significant part in New York Giants’ Week 4 victory against the Chicago Bears. However, the fourth year Quarterback did seem to have endured an ankle injury which ruled him out for a brief period of game action. After returning to the game vs Bears, Jones didn’t throw a pass and split out wide as a decoy on many snaps.

After Week 4’s game-action, many were concerned if Daniel Jones will be able to play against Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers in Week 5, as he was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before being a full participant on Friday eventually.

Given their form in the 2022-23 season, New York Giants have decided to not slip by resting their players and would feature Daniel Jones as a starter in their showdown against Packers in Week 5. He was not placed on the injury report unlike Tyros Taylor, who is ruled out with a concussion. Big Blue is expected to elevate Davis Webb from the practice squad as a backup. If Daniel Jones re-tweaks the ankle, Webb could be thrust into the game.

Apart from Daniel Jones, the Giants have a lot of their key personnel to worry about. They have ruled out CB Cordale Flott due to calf injury, Wide Receiver Kenny Golladay due to knee injury, DT Henry Mondeaux due to ankle injury, LB Azeez Ojulari due to calf injury, WR Kadarius Toney due to hamstring issues and WR Wan’Dale Robinson due to knee injury.

Defesinve lineman Leonard Williams, who is dealing with knee issues is also listed as questionable for Sunday after missing the last two weeks for the New York Giants. That being said with Saquon Barkley being the center of attraction in this game, Jones too will have to make his presence felt if the Giants are to improve their record to 4-1 in the 2022-23 NFL Season.
