If a player like Ja’Marr Chase gets going, there are not many defensively equipped teams who can stop his wrath. With the reigning Super Bowl runners up getting off to a slow start (6-4) in the 2022-23 season, they might not have the services of their marquee wide receiver against the unpredictable Tennessee Titans.
While the likes of Joe Burrow and Zac Taylor all indicated that Ja’Marr Chase would return. However, the reality seems to indicate a different outcome. It is being reported that Ja’Marr is likely to not play against the Titans in Week 12.
To those who are unaware, Ja’Marr is dealing with both a hairline hip fracture and a torn labrum. This is the exact reason why Bengals are taking no abrupt decisions of involving Chase in their playoff hunt.
Ja’Marr Chase out of Week 12 contest vs Titans
It has almost been a month since Bengals lost Chase. In his absence, this team has looked like a strong unit when they overcame the obstacle against Carolina Panthers. However, there have also been instances where they have suffered blowout loss (against Cleveland Browns).
As per Jordan Schultz, “Ja’Marr Chase is OUT vs the #Titans, sources tell @theScore. I’m told the #Bengals’ All-Pro WR had a good week of practice but isn’t quite ready to return from a hairline hip fracture and torn labrum.”
While no one can say how Cincinnati Bengals might perform without Ja’Marr Chase, they have two talented wide receivers in Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd to help carry the load on offense. Will it be enough to take them past the Tennessee Titans in Week 12? Remains to be seen.
