There are no two-ways in stating that Jameis Winston adds humongous force to the New Orleans Saints, whenever he sets steps on the field. Having been listed as ‘questionable’ for his team ahead of Week 3 showdown against the Carolina Panthers, there seems to be a huge ray of hope suggesting that the 28-year-old might play on Sunday.
Jameis Winston, who is back from back and ankle injury failed to make it big in Week 2 against Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But his team were also without Alvin Kamara, who entered the weekend with the same questionable status after tallying 46 yards on 12 touches in Week 1
That being said, the New Orleans Saints enter Week 3 on the backs of 1-1 record, and should be optimistic about their chances over the Carolina Panthers. Especially with Jameis Winston’s attacking prowess, he could pose real problems throughout the course of four quarters against this opponent.
With both Jameis Winston and Kamara coming to full form for the Saints, this team could be a huge threat for its divisional opponents. The good news for the Saints is that each of the players listed as questionable were able to participate in the week’s practices in a limited fashion.
Being diagnosed with four minor fractures in the back, Jameis Winston is undoubtedly struggling. Having thrown the ball 40 times despite his back issues, showcases just the kind of caliber and mindset this beast has.
Lastly, it does feel safe to say that Jameis Winston is not likely to be the kind of player who backs down, when his team is down, even when he’s injured. He just isn’t built that way. But if the situation gets worse, Dennis Allen and the team management would be required to face heavy repercussions.
