New Orleans Saints surely will not have the most desired team on paper when they head into London, an unfamiliar territory to take on Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 showdown. With plenty of marquee stars sitting out for their respective teams in this week, Jameis Winston too won’t be available for the Saints as he is ruled out due to a back injury.
Fan would be aware that New Orleans Saints’ training staff suited Jameis Winston with four layers of padding and a custom back plate for their Week 3 showdown against the Carolina Panthers. Which was a game that the Saints could not win, even when Winston registers 353 passing yards and a TouchDown.
Although Jameis Winston’s mobility was majorly hampered as he made any movement, yet he kept trying hard to keep his team in the game, at all pointed throughout the game. However, this week it just isn’t possible for him to suit up again as Winston will be looking from the side-lines.
With Jameis Winston out, Andy Dalton will be getting his place as the starting Quarterback. Known as the Red-Rifle, he has made 15 starts over the past 2 years for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears respectively.
Winston had no part to play in the team’s practice sessions throughout the week and it is evident that the young stud would not show up in the next encounter, at any cost. Furthermore, the concern is – that Jameis Winston’s injury looks much more severe than what Dennis Allen and the other training staff members expected it to be. Which means, he could even be sitting out of Week 5 action.
That being said, with Jameis Winston out, will the Minnesota Vikings be able to register a comfortable victory over Dennis Allen’s short-handed side? Or are we in for another Allen-Classic?
