Will Kenny Pickett play in week 3 matchup against the Cleveland Browns?

Published by

The Pittsburgh Steelers are firmly trying to build a different era after the departure of Ben Roethlisberger. However, with just two games into the 2022-23 season, Mitch Trubisky has already been told to take the side-track by the home fans, only to be replaced by Kenny Pickett. With the 0-Line still a work in progress, do the Steelers fans want to see a change as early as possible?

Mitchell Trubisky

To be honest, Mitch Trubisky might have more experience than Kenny Pickett, yet he hasn’t been the sole sore spot on an offense that mustered just 14 points in a shambolic loss to New England Patriots. Many have even showed Mitch Trubisky as a low-ceiling signal-caller.

It seems to be a viable option to feature Kenny Pickett over Trubisky, who is their hand-picked future star. Kenny is a fresh arm but also has shown signs of explicit innovation which can bring in a lot of variational plays for Steelers’ offense. But what has been the most impressive – is his veteran-esque poise which he displayed in the preseason.

Will Kenny Pickett star over Mitch Trubisky in Week 3?

Given that experience Mitch has gained over the years in the league, it seems like Tomlin is giving him the most of his opportunities to shine and gain some confidence, even when the results haven’t been decent. However, there are not doubts that Kenny Pickett has already cemented his place as an upcoming offensive marquee within Pittsburgh Steelers.

Indeed, it is also safe to urge that all of Tomlin’s effort have showed that Mitch can survive another game or two as starting Quarterback. But if he cannot impress even in them, will we witness the young and charismatic Kenny Pickett to take center stage? Hopefully, it happens sooner rather than later.
