After the Pittsburgh Steelers have dropped 3 consecutive games in the 2022-23 season, they surely have understood the need to change the offensive scenario. This action enables Kenny Pickett to perhaps take the center stage for the first time, to prove why he was the first Quarterback selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Given that Kenny Pickett’s confidence is purely impressive, he needs to deliver on the field with his swagger, as many have already spoken about it so much. Moreover, the Steelers would be locking horns against one of the Super Bowl favorites – Buffalo Bills, whose defensive rating is no less than the second-best unit in the league currently.
On the other hand, Steelers wouldn’t be as confident as many would think them to be. With a passing offense: 181.5 yds/gm (28th in the league), rush offense: 97.3 yds/gm (23rd in the league), total yards: 278.8 yds/gm (30th in the league), Kenny Pickett would be knowing what task he has on his hands, against a unit which simply does not allow the opposition to settle in at any point.
When asked about his own mindset ahead of the Week 5 matchup against Buffalo Bills, Pickett stated, “It’s the attitude in which you go about it. You guys and everyone else think we’re underdogs, but we don’t. We’re going to go in there with some confidence. We know how great we can be when we’re detailed and we execute at a high level. Guys run at the right depth, I’ve got to be on time, give a great ball. They’ll make the plays.
“I have tons of confidence in those guys. It’s really everyone doing their part and we’ll be okay against the Bills.”
That being said, the Pittsburgh Steelers going against the Buffalo Bills is an uphill battle, and Kenny Pickett would also be aware of it. With the confidence already high, can the Steelers restart their campaign with a big win in Week 5? Remains to be seen.
