After missing practice all week long, it is no surprise that Atlanta Falcons’ TE – Kyle Pitts has been ruled out for Week 5 showdown against Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Suffering from a hamstring injury, this would be the first game in Pitt’ NFL career that he would be missing.
The second year hasn’t been at his best in the 2022-23 season. After showing glimpses of his pure speed and attacking prowess previously, many expected him to blossom. Yet it hasn’t been that case in reality. To those who are not aware, Kyle Pitts has just 10 receptions for 15 yards with no TouchDowns through the first four games of the 2022-23 season. Just shows, hoe he is yet to make his presence felt for the Atlanta Falcons.
Despite the lack of production from the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Falcons hasn’t been able to maintain its shape. The offense has averaged 25.8 points per game, which is eighth in the NFL.
Kyle Pitts will miss Week 5 showdown vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The 22-year-old – Kyle Pitts is a big loss for the Falcons who are chasing each and every win in the 2022-23 season. Moreover, with their next opposition already dropping two consecutive games, and having the best defensive unit so far in the league, Pitts absence could really prove catastrophic for his team.
Although there is nothing to worry about Kyle Pitts’ injury as per Coach Arthur Smith. However, the latter did acknowledge that Pitts’ soreness has increased to what it was on Monday and Tuesday.
That being said, Kyle Pitts has been the primary receiver on a lot of plays but was covered or Quarterback Marcus Mariota was forced to look elsewhere. Now with Pitts out, the Atlanta Falcons will look to a multitude of options in an attempt to replace him against a rigid defensive unit.
