There are no two-ways in stating that Robert Gronkowski will go down in NFL history as one of the best tight ends of all time. Having come out of retirement previously, it seems like this time he has hung his boot for good. As per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, even the Tampa Bay buccaneers are not expecting the veteran tight end to return despite their struggles on the offensive end.
Initially Robert Gronkowski had announced his retirement in 2019 after playing his whole career for the New England Patriots. However, he did come out of retirement to join Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers and even won the Super Bowl in 2020. After which in June, he officially retired from the league, spending 11 seasons.
Moreover, ESPN stated that if Robert Gronkowski and Tampa Bay were to re-unite again in this season, the situation has to be perfect. In simpler words, the team should contest for the Super Bowl berth or should be heading towards playing it at least.
The only thing one can hope for their favorite athlete is that they hang up their boots in the best possible manner and with utmost pride. Surely, this was the case with Robert Gronkowski.
That being said, since retiring for the second time, it seems like the 2020 Super Bowl has been spending time with Camile Kostek. Furthermore, Robert Gronkowski is also taking a participatory role in brother Chris Ice Shaker company and is seemingly looking to join his father’s G&G Fitness Equipment company.
Lastly, as many expect Robert Gronkowski to have ‘The Last Dance’ with Tom Brady. It does not seem to become a reality, as Brady seems to be managing his new-look Bucs just fine. But as they say – who knows what can happen in the world of sports!
