Miami Dolphins are serious contenders for this year’s Super Bowl (57) after adding the likes of – Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb alongside Tua Tagovailoa. While the team’s offense has been extraordinary, their defense has had some lapses on numerous occasions. For which they have added the linebacker from Denver Broncos.
Ahead of Dolphins’ Week 9 contest against the depleted Houston Texans, many thought Tua Tagovailoa might be instructed to make a return as he was officially listed ‘Active’. Yet the #1 Quarterback of Miami will not be representing his team as he is listed as Questionable this week due to a finger injury, and was even limited in practice throughout the week.
Not just for Week 9. But as per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Tua is ‘iffy’ for Week 10’s showdown as well. He suffered a fracture in his middle finger and it hasn’t healed fast enough, at the tie of writing. Result of which, Miami Dolphins are taking no chances with Tagovailoa.
Tua Tagovailoa out of Week 9 contest
NFL insider wrote in his tweet, “Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa has a small fracture in the middle finger of his throwing hand that has not recovered enough to allow him to start today’s game against the Texans, per league sources. Jacoby Brissett now is expected to be the Dolphins’ starting QB today.”
Now with Tua Tagovailoa out, Jacoby Brissett will be the starting Quarterback for Dolphins, as they chase the numero uno spot in their respective division.
The latter already has three starts register alongside his name. He completed 65% of his passes for 883 yards, 4 TouchDowns and 2 interceptions so far. But will be able to keep alive the winning momentum for this team? Remains to be seen.
