Will Zach Wilson play in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals?

After being injured in the team’s preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Quarterback – Zach Wilson’s injury update has always been a matter of speculation. However, the young stud of New York Jets has been making tremendous progress towards returning to the field of action.

Wilson was spotted previously training with the team, a couple of weeks before his expected time which gave the fans a glimmer of hope of his return. However, all these claims have been buried by the team as Zach Wilson will not be taking part in the team’s Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Zach Wilson’s absence will ensure Joe Flacco to be leading the team’s offense in Week 3 as well. Given that the former suffered from a meniscus injury, the New York Jets is right to take some time to give Zach Wilson the proper time to rest. On the contrary, Flacco too has made the full use of Wilson’s absence as he led the team to a huge win against the Cleveland Browns previously.

Zach Wilson will not feature in Week 3 showdown vs Bengals

The New York Jets inched past Cleveland Browns 31-30 in Week 2, wherein Joe Flacco showed his true guts, when the odds were stagged against him. But the Cincinnati Bengals are a completely different unit, who just haven’t been able to turn their A-Game so far in the 2022-23 NFL Season.

Moreover, the positive side to Zach Wilson’s absence is that the New York Jets are trying to figure out new strategies in every game. Which ensures an element of surprise for the opponent, and believe it or not, that has worked so far in the current season.
