Modern-day NFL fans would be aware that Aaron Rodgers is one of those Quarterback who is known to play the blame-game when things haven’t gone the way of his team. Even in the 2022-23 season, when the Green Bay Packers have already matched their loss-tally from the previous season in just the initial seven weeks, Rodgers decided to criticize his relatively inexperienced and younger offensive unit.
This did not sit well in and around the NFL Analyst as former Pittsburgh Steelers star – Ryan Clark is the latest to lash onto the reigning MVP. Aaron Rodgers might be short-handed with the weapons at his disposal, but even his own performance hasn’t been up to the mark, as per his standard set in the previous seasons. Plus, to demoralize the momentum of his teammates, who are undoubtedly trying hard, seems to be a wrong move.
On the latest episode of ESPN’s Get UP, Clark quoted, “Hey, Aaron Rodgers must be back on the shrooms right now. Aaron, man. Come on, guy, like you can’t do this. And I get it. I get what he’s saying, right? I get the bravado and the arrogance and the confidence that comes with what Aaron Rodgers has accomplished in his career.”
Ryan Clark on Aaron Rodgers spreading toxicity in Packers’ locker room
Unlike Tom Brady or Russell Wilson in this very season, despite an inconsistent run, Rodgers decided to blame it on his teammates, without taking names in particular.
Clark added, “You know what? If you guys don’t like what I’m saying, then you can come to me. Well, first off, he actually didn’t point out anybody specifically.
“If you come to Aaron Rodgers, you know you’re the guy messing up. You basically admit it. You’re talking about me. So that’s the first reason you can’t come to him. Here’s the second reason. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t seem to me to be, that we can have an adult conversation and walk away like any type of person. Right…I think you need to focus on you. Let’s use the thumb more than to pointer finger and figure out a way that we could get this together.”
