Kyler Murray is set to be sidelined for numerous months due to an ACL injury he suffered against the New England Patriots.
Last week’s game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots resulted in an injury for quarterback Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals. Later on, it was revealed that Murray had suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), and he will be unable to play for the remainder of the season.
Positive news may be taken from the fact that the Cardinals’ training camp is filled with hope that Murray will be ready to play in the opening game of the next season. Although an ACL injury is always challenging for athletes, Nick Wright believes that Murray can use it to his advantage.
Speaking about Kyler Murray, Nick Wright said, “There is a chance that suffering this type of injury, having this moment that when he comes back, that part of him as a quarterback as a leader is improved. That this is the first real devastation of his sports life, and he actually grows from it.”
He added, “So that’s if we’re trying to find the silver lining. That’s it. Everything else is a disaster. He’s way undersized. Maybe he gets all of his athleticism back. Maybe he does. He does another made another. If he doesn’t, then he’s ruined. You can’t be that size. And just a good athlete. You’ve got to be the best athlete.”
Before getting injured, Kyler Murray had a passer rating of 87.2 with 2,368 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in 11 games this season. The road to recovery will be extremely tough for the Cardinals quarterback but as Nick Wright said, he could use this time to develop himself as a better person in the public’s eye.
