Jimmy Garoppolo has played quite well this season, and the San Francisco 49ers are a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
The San Francisco 49ers gave the starting quarterback job to Trey Lance ahead of this season, and Jimmy Garoppolo was destined to leave the 49ers. In the end, Jimmy G ended up staying with the team, and Trey Lance suffered a devastating season-ending injury.
In Lance’s absence, Garoppolo stepped up and has been able to lead the team by example. The 49ers are currently at the top in the NFC West and are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. While many have been surprised by Jimmy Garoppolo’s success this season, Chris Broussard certainly isn’t.
Talking about Jimmy Garoppolo, Chris Broussard said, “Why should I be surprised that Jimmy G played well, this is what he does. And Nick I know you like to say I’m a QB wins guy. I’m not you are. I’m gonna tell you when I’m a QB wins guy when it’s Jimmy’s wins, no wins before that QB got there. Or when he’s there in hurt, or when he leaves you lose? But when he’s there you win. And that is why I love Jimmy G and I want to see it.”
Trey Lance is out injured till next season and if Jimmy Garoppolo is able to lead this team to a Super Bowl again or even win it this time around, it will be fascinating to see what happens next.
