Famous sports analyst Nick Wright believes that only one quarterback in the NFL can make a case to be better than Patrick Mahomes.
Patrick Mahomes is arguably the best quarterback in the NFL right now. In such a short span of time, Mahomes has almost won everything that is there to be won in the league. He is likely to end as an all-time great, and not many players can dethrone him as the face of the league going forward.
Recently, Nick Wright who is one of the biggest fans of Mahomes talked about the only player that comes close to Patrick Mahomes and has a valid claim to be better than him. It was none other than the reigning NFL MVP
Talking about it, Nick Wright said, “Aaron Is the Only Quarterback in the League That on a Snap for Snap Basis Can Make an Argument He’s as Good as Patrick Mahomes.”
He added, “Not Even Your Beloved Josh Allen Can Make That Argument on a Snap for Snap Basis Because His Values Are Still Lower Than Mahomes’ or Rodgers’.”
Nick Wright claims Patrick Mahomes is better than Aaron Rodgers due to playoff performances
Even though Nick Wright believes that Aaron Rodgers gives Mahomes a run for his money, the playoff performances by the Chiefs QB1 has edged him ahead of the NFL MVP.
Nick Wright said, “The Distinction Between Rodgers and Mahomes Is Mahomes Numbers Across the Board Improve in the Postseason. He Had Three Uh Two Touchdown Plus Comebacks in a Row His First Year or the Year They Won the Super Bowl He He Did All of These Things.”
He added, “Patrick Had a Very Bad Half of Football to Close This Year’s AFC Championship Game, but That Was the First Bad Playoff Half of Football He’s Ever Played in.”
Nick Wright concluded, and said, “That Super Bowl That He Lost, If You Watch It He Didn’t Play Poorly He Was Just Hit Literally in That Game More Than Any Player’s Ever Been Hit in Since They’ve Been Recording These Things in Any Playoff Game…”
Nick Wright is certainly right because Patrick Mahomes has been a ceiling-raiser in the playoffs. On the other hand, continuous playoff failures have impacted the legacy of Aaron Rodgers in a negative manner.
Aaron Rodgers has a chance to shut his critics
The upcoming season will be a huge one for Aaron Rodgers. He will be on his way to fight for a 3rd straight MVP award, but the situation this time around is tougher than the past few seasons.
The Green Bay Packers didn’t add any major offensive players to their team during the offseason. Davante Adams leaving could have a big effect on how well Aaron Rodgers and the Packers do.
Because of this, Aaron Rodgers, who has won the NFL MVP award back-to-back years, needs to have another great season. The Minnesota Vikings, who play in the same division as them, will also give them a run for the NFC North title.
Rodgers would want to silence all of his critics and get over the fact that he has lost in the playoffs in the coming season. Aaron Rodgers is the right person for the job, even though the road ahead won’t be easy. He should be able to help the Packers have another successful season, I hope.
