“Nothing is more important than that young man’s health”- Skip Bayless apologizes for an insensitive tweet towards Damar Hamlin

Skip Bayless apologized after he wrote an insensitive tweet about Damar Hamlin in the wake of his tough medical issue.

Joe Burrow and Jordan Poyer were left in distress after Damar Hamlin collapses on the field.

Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills collapsed during a prime-time game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s in the hospital, and his condition is critical. He was knocked out after colliding with Tee Higgins in the first quarter and had to be transported to the hospital.

He was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and brought to a local hospital before the National Football League called a timeout. As they prayed for Hamlin, the other players could be seen crying and comforting one another. Around an hour after the incident, the game was called off for the night.

Skip Bayless wrote, “Nothing is more important than that young man’s health. That was the point of my last tweet. I’m sorry if that was misunderstood but his health is all that matters. Again, everything else is irrelevant. I prayed for him & will continue to.”

Earlier he had tweeted, “No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”

He faced a lot of backlash for caring more about the game between the Bills and the Bengals rather than the health of Hamlin and as a result, everyone went off on him. Former players also took their jabs on Bayless, before he ultimately decided to apologize.
