The New York Jets took on the Philadelphia Eagles to kickstart their preseason games. Everything was going well but then the tragedy happened.

Jets QB1 Zach Wilson while carrying the ball apparently got injured. It is looking like a serious injury, and initial thoughts were that the quarterback has ruptured his ACL.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but the injury does look serious. It is a huge blow for the Jets who made significant improvements to their roster in the offseason.

Zach Wilson was their starting quarterback and replacing him won’t be easy. If the injury is serious then the team might look for a trade, and bring in 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garopollo who is the best available option on the market.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh spoke up on the issue, and said, “We’re going to wait on the MRI tomorrow”, and claimed the ACL was “supposed to be intact“.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin Jr. also tweeted out after the injury and prayed for the recovery of Zach Wilson. He wrote, “Prayers up for Zach Wilson”.
