All you need to know about the entertainment side of the upcoming Super Bowl 2023 in which the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are set to meet in the Super Bowl in 2023. Both of these teams finished with a 14-3 record, good enough for the first seed in their respective conferences (AFC and NFC). They were by far the best two teams in the NFL throughout the course of the season and rightfully deserve to play in the Super Bowl.
Fans can’t wait to see two brilliant quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, lead their respective teams to victory on the largest platform in front of millions of fans worldwide. Hopefully, this game will meet everyone’s entertainment expectations.
Sunday’s halftime show at the Super Bowl will mark the first time that Apple Music, the NFL, and Roc Nation have collaborated on a production. Rihanna has not performed on a live music platform in the intervening seven years before the highly anticipated halftime show in which she will be included.
Since the release of her album “Anti” in 2016, she has been somewhat absent from the music world, despite the fact that she was one of the most successful pop musicians of the last two decades. Rihanna discussed being approached to participate in the show just three months after giving birth to her son during a press conference held by Apple Music on Thursday.
She said, “When you become a mom there’s something that happens where you feel like you can take on the world and can do anything,” Rihanna added, “The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. As scary as it was, because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. It’s important for me to do this year. It’s important for my son to see that.”
It has now been three years in a row that a country musician has been chosen to lead the booming song. Chris Stapleton, winner of eight Grammys, will be in charge of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and he will be joined by Troy Kotsur, the Oscar-winning star of “CODA,” the film that won the award for best picture of the previous year. Kotsur is going to provide an American Sign Language performance of the national anthem.
Before the playing of the national anthem, R&B singer and producer Babyface will perform “America the Beautiful,” followed by a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by “Abbott Elementary” star Sheryl Lee Ralph.
The Super Bowl of 2023 is certain to be a star-studded affair, and this certainly applies to all of the ads that will air throughout the game. Everyone is aware that one of the most enjoyable aspects of watching a football game is taking in all of the commercials.
This is true even though the game will bring fans together as they watch it from the stands or from the comfort of their own couches (and witness the Rihanna concert that is rudely cut short by a football game, also known as the halftime show).
The 2019 game will feature commercials that are more entertaining and touching than those from the previous year’s game, which included spots from companies like Amazon’s Alexa and Budweiser.
PEOPLE published an exclusive first look at this year’s Doritos Super Bowl commercial starring Jack Harlow on January 12, 2023. In the video, the rapper finds himself in a “love triangle.” Even while the majority of advertising won’t be seen in its entirety until Sunday, February 12, many sponsors will air previews before the big event.
