Russell Wilson played quite well against the Kansas City Chiefs before he suffered a concussion causing him to leaving the game.
Russell Wilson arguably played the best game of the season last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Denver Broncos gave up a lot to acquire him from the Seattle Seahawks but so far that experiment has been horrible.
Both Wilson and the entire Broncos offense have been absolutely horrible and due to it, there are concerns about the future of head coach Nathaniel Hackett. However, they were able to play well against the Chiefs, and Chris Broussard got some optimism about the franchise’s future moving forward.
Speaking about Russell Wilson, Chris Broussard said, “I’m not saying he’s definitely getting back to the Hall of Fame, future Hall of Fame level, we’ll see. But I was really this close to be like he is washed completely… That was the first game this year. He’s looked like the old Russ.”
He added, “He ran the football well, now maybe it was because they were going to get some horrible defense. But he threw the ball. Well, he ran the ball. Well, he looked like the old Russ. And when they bring in a new coach, maybe within offseason of soul searching, he comes back and he’s close to the old Russ.”
Although Wilson played quite well against the Chiefs, it is still unknown whether he will play against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15. Concussions can sometimes take more than weeks to heal. The Cardinals are also without Kyler Murray who suffered an ACL injury last week.
