Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn suffered a wrist injury in the win over the Detroit Lions in Week 16.
The Carolina Panthers just had a very joyous Christmas Eve thanks to their 37-23 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 16 of the NFL season. Having said that, this victory did not come without a very regrettable price.
Jaycee Horn, a star cornerback for the Panthers, has had a wrist injury, and it is possible that he may miss the remainder of the season. Following the game, interim head coach Steve Wilks didn’t have much of an explanation for the media regarding the situation of Horn. He stated to the press that the MRI will be performed on the second-year defensive player on the team.
Around thirteen minutes had been played when Horn was substituted into the game. After bringing down Josh Reynolds, a wide receiver for the Lions, on a gain of 26 yards, the 23-year-old player gripped his wrist and was finally taken off on a stretcher to the locker room.
This would, without a doubt, be a disheartening turn of events not just for Horn but also for the Panthers. After suffering a foot fracture in the third game of his career, which was played against the Houston Texans, Horn was forced to sit out the last 14 games of his rookie season in 2021.
It would be a major setback for the Carolina Panthers (6-9) if they were to lose their best cornerback in the week leading up to their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-8), which will decide who finishes in first place in the NFC South.
