All you need to know about when the Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt was drafted in the NFL.
On April 28, 2011, the Houston Texans ended up taking J.J. Watt with the 11th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Wisconsin and was the first defensive end to be picked in the first round of that draft.
Watt has spent time playing for both the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals during the course of his professional career. The news that he would leave the National Football League at the end of this season came as a surprise to many people when he shared it lately.
Watt has had a great career and will be remembered for all time as one of the best defensive players in the history of the game. As a result, he is well on his way to being inducted into the Hall of Fame, which is a prestigious honor.
It is a shame for him that the Houston Texans, who at the time he was playing for them had a wonderfully amazing team led by Deshaun Watson, J.J. Watt, and Deandre Hopkins were not able to win a Super Bowl during his time with the team. In spite of this, once he is eligible for the Hall of Fame, he will be there in Canton for the ceremony.
J.J. Watt has played 12 seasons for the Texans and Cardinals. He has 445 solo tackles, 135 assists, 111.5 sacks, 17 fumble recoveries, and 2 interceptions. He was selected to play in 5 Pro Bowls. He has won 3 Defensive Player of the Year awards and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award.
