Randy Gregory and Oday Aboushi were both suspended for one game after their altercation in the game between the Rams and the Broncos.

The National Football League has decided to punish Denver Broncos pass rusher Randy Gregory and Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Oday Aboushi for one game without pay for their respective roles in a postgame altercation that occurred at SoFi Stadium following Los Angeles’ 51-14 victory over Denver.

After the game was over, players from both teams were seen congregating at midfield to shake hands and make small talk when Gregory and Aboushi were spotted getting into an incident. Aboushi looked to be struck in the helmet by Gregory, which spurred Aboushi to shove Gregory before the two were separated. Gregory and Aboushi were eventually separated.

Gregory has issued a statement and is appealing the suspension, which he did on Monday night. Speaking about it, Gregory said, “Dear Broncos Country, I would like to thank my amazing teammates, staff, and fans who have supported me throughout this frustrating season. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize for my actions yesterday.”

He added, “The game was full of emotion and disappointment, and was not a reflection of my character. My goal is to finish out the season strong, play with pride and be part of the solution and not the problem going forward. Thank you.”
