All you need to know about the health of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson ahead of Week 18.
Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, has been unable to play due to a damaged knee for more than a month. Since suffering an injury to his left knee on December 4, Jackson has not played for the Ravens (10-6), who have already secured a postseason berth. Jackson has also missed 14 consecutive sessions for the team.
The Baltimore Ravens have struggled terribly in the four games they’ve played without Jackson, scoring an NFL-worst three touchdowns and averaging just 12.3 points per game.
The Ravens have never provided a specific schedule for Jackson’s upcoming comeback. Jackson is not the only quarterback for Baltimore dealing with an ailment at this time. Because of ailments to his right shoulder and wrist, Tyler Huntley’s participation in practice was restricted for a second consecutive day. Huntley has filled in for Jackson this year and has a record of 2-2 in those games.
The postseason will begin in one week, and offensive coordinator Greg Roman has not written off Lamar Jackson’s chances of playing in it. Speaking about it, he said, “He’s a special guy I think if somebody’s got a chance to do it, he does.”
He added, “I would say, I would bet on him. I would definitely bet on him, It’s not an ideal situation, obviously, but it’s a great opportunity when he does come back to get him back in the lineup and get moving.”
It seems expected that the Cincinnati Bengals will be the opponent for the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Wildcard Round. Hopefully, Jackson will be healthy enough to play before then.
