According to a recent report by the Metro, Monaco’s Belgian international star Youri Tielemans, who spend the second half of last season on loan at Premier League side Leicester City, is said to attracting interest from some of England’s biggest clubs.
While the Foxes are keen on keeping their man at the King Power Stadium next season, it has been suggested that both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have registered their interest in signing the youngster.
The 22-year-old is a versatile player who is capable of being deployed anywhere across the midfield. Pacy and rather tricky on the ball, Tielemans is a fairly complete midfielder who has a well-rounded skill-set.
His dribbling and finishing attributes are quite advanced while he does put in a lot of effort in defence as well. Highly-rated since a very young age, the Belgian made his international debut in 2016 and has since won 22 caps – even representing at the recently completed FIFA World Cup in Russia.
A product of the RSC Anderlecht youth academy, the Belgian was signed up by Monaco in the summer of 2017 after he impressed heavily while in his home country.
Although he’s been a retailer feature of the national side, he struggled to make an impact in the Ligue 1 and was shipped out to Leicester midway through last season. After making the move to the Premier League though, he certainly did step up to the plate for the Foxes.
Here are the 2 clubs where he could end up next season:
The red side from Manchester have been in the market for new players over the summer so far and though they haven’t been overly successful in their dealings yet, various names have been linked to a move to Old Trafford.
Signing Tielemans could help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer further strengthen in midfield and add some much-needed creativity to what was a fairly disappointing Manchester United team last season.

The north London club was dealt a massive reality check midway through last season as they were hit with a flurry of key unexpected injuries during the busiest part of the campaign.
Having struggled to make it past their busy Christmas, Spurs had to work extremely hard in the latter part of the season to secure Champions League status.
The addition of a quality midfielder like Tielemans could be the final piece to Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur puzzle.
