Novak Djokovic must be feeling great at the moment after the start of 2021 and the Serbian had a packed schedule ahead of him.
However, the recent outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has changed the whole scenario, with many tournaments being cancelled or postponed.
Djokovic, however, was in great form during the 2021 Australian Open and won a record ninth title. The Serbian defeated Daniil Medvedev in straight sets to win his 18th Grand Slam as he chases Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for the most number of Slams.
Djokovic also created another record as he broke Federer’s mark on being the World No.1 for the longest time.
The Serbian broke Federer’s record of being no.1 for 310 weeks straight. However, his form has been a bit sketchy since that as he has exited the Monte Carlo Masters and the Serbian Open in the early rounds.
Djokovic is next expected to play in the Italian Open with a match against Taylor Fritz. The Serbian is gearing up for the French Open and this is one of the clay courts he would be keen on doing well in.
