Novak Djokovic started off his Dubai campaign in style with a win over Malek Jaziri

World No.1 Novak Djokovic was seen balancing a sword on his head ahead of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Djokovic spent some quality time dancing alongside a belly dancer at a party in Dubai.

Djokovic hogged the limelight when a video of him dancing and balancing a sword went viral online. The Serb grooved to the music alongside a belly dancer as both got into the party spirit.

However, Djokovic spiced things up a little bit by trying to balance a sword on his head attracting responses from tennis fans and followers from across the world on the social media platform Instagram.

Djokovic makes winning return

Meanwhile, Djokovic made a winning return to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, commonly known as the Dubai Open, since last playing at the venue in 2016.

Djokovic defeated Tunisian Malek Jaziri 6-1, 6-2 in an easy opening game to advance into the second round. By winning this Djokovic now has extended his 13-match unbeaten start to the 2020 ATP Tour season.

Djokovic will be aiming for a fifth title in Dubai, which was a happy hunting ground in the past. The Serb emerged champion in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 and has a 37-6 tournament record.

He will next meet seasoned German player and 2014 semi-finalist Philip Kohlschreiber for a place in the quarterfinals.
