Novak Djokovic vs Cristian Garin is a fourth round match at Wimbledon 2021 and here is the preview, live stream details, weather forecast and more
Novak Djokovic continues to sail through this year’s Wimbledon as he beat Dennis Kudla 6-4 6-3 7-6 (9-7) to move into the Round of 16. The Serb is aiming to win his third consecutive Grand Slam after wins at the Australian Open and French Open.
He now faces Cristian Garin in the fourth round on Monday in a bid to win his sixth Wimbledon title. Djokovic is one Grand Slam short of the all-time record of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
“I had to slow down the pace in the game because he was really handling the flat ball well from the back of the court. He has really good balance. I think his backhand and forehand as well are pretty flat. He moves around pretty well on the grass-court surface. He’s a really good player,” he said after his win over Kudla.
The victory makes him the first man to win at least 75 matches at all four majors. His previous wins at Wimbledon came in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019. He has also been praised by 20-time champion Roger Federer, saying that he deserves every bit of his success as he stands on the cusp of achieving greatness.
Garin, ranked at No. 20 in the world, beat Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero 6-4 6-3 4-6 6-4 to reach week 2 at Wimbledon for the first time in his career.
The two have only met once so far in their career. Garin gets another opportunity at attempting to upset the Serb, who is in dominant fashion this year.
The last meeting came at the 2020 ATP Cup as Serbia faced Chile in a three-matched fixture. Djokovic beat Garin in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

The likelihood for rain tomorrow is high at 70%, which means we could see a possible rain delay at the tournament. The Wimbledon 2021 weather forecast adds that temperature looks to vary from 19 to 21 degree Celsius. Wind is at 18 km/h.
The second week expects more rainfall which could see lesser matches in a day as the tournament unfolds.
Djokovic is the hot-favourite going into the tournament to do the unthinkable this year. He is aiming at a Golden Slam, a feat achieved only by Steffi Graf in the Open Era. He has taken his game to an all time high this season, having beaten Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros to win his second French Open title.
Despite his blip against Kudla in the third set, he came out on top winning in straight sets. Garin, meanwhile, will have nothing to lose as he becomes the first Chilean to reach the foruth round since Fernando Francisco González. He will have to match the 19-time Grand Slam champion point for point and keep his baseline game strong.
Cristian Garin has proven himself a clay-court specialist over the past two seasons, winning all four of his ATP Tour titles on the surface. He is currently the No. 2 South American, trailing only Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman, who is World No. 13
Prediction: Djokovic in 3 sets
