Novak Djokovic bounced back from 2-1 sets down to register his eighth win at the Australian Open

Novak Djokovic joked that he was given magic potions by his team as he was struggling before them in the Australian Open.

Djokovic was speaking during a post-match conference after his win over Dominic Thiem in the final of the recently concluded Grand Slam.

The Serbian was trailing Thiem 2 sets to 1 at one point in the match and looked devoid of energy but bounced back from behind to walk away with the honours.

Meanwhile in an interesting turn of events, one of the journalists asked Djokovic about the drink that his team had mixed for him and how it helped him, he had this to say.

“The liquids were magic potions that my physio prepares in his lab. That’s all I can say.” His cheeky reply brought laughter into the room and all the while he carried a sly smile on his face.

Jokes apart, the drinks seemed to have worked wonders as he got back into the game to record his eighth win at the Australian Open – the most by any male tennis player in the Open Era.
