Novak Djokovic vs Marton Fucsovics is a quarter-final match at Wimbledon 2021 and here is the preview, live stream details, weather forecast and more
Novak Djokovic continued his scintillating form on grass as he moved to a quarter-final on Monday with a straight-set win over his Chilean opponent Cristian Garin at the Centre Court. The Serbian ace won the match 6-2 6-4 6-2 in comfortable fashion.
He is now three matches away from creating history as he aims for his 3rd consecutive Grand Slam of 2021 and 20th overall.
Fucsovics, meanwhile, became the first Hungarian to reach the Wimbledon men’s quarterfinals since 1948 by upsetting No. 5 Andrey Rublev 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.
He will aim to try and break Djokovic’s resurgence but will have his work heavily cut out. The Hungarian won the 2009 Wimbledon junior champion, but has failed to play to his potential in his career until the last few years.
Djokovic has had a fairly comfortable route to the quarter-finals after comfortable wins in his opening rounds. He is also the defending champion having beaten Roger Federer in the famous 2019 final.
“It’s not a secret that I’m trying to win as many Slams as possible. That’s a motivating factor, but it doesn’t consume my everyday life. I’m trying to balance things out. It’s soothing to my ears and my ego to be in that (GOAT) conversation.”
The World No.1 has won in both previous meetings against the Hungarian. Their last meeting came at the 2019 Qatar Open, where Djokovic won 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. The first meeting also came at a Grand Slam at the US Open in 2018, where Djokovic won in four sets.

The likelihood for rain tomorrow is high at 70%, which means we could see a possible rain delay at the tournament. The Wimbledon 2021 weather forecast adds that temperature looks to be around 21 degree Celsius. Wind is at 23 km/h.
The second week expects more rainfall which could see rain curtailed matches towards the final stages of the men’s and women’s draws.
More crowds are also set to be welcomed in for the final rounds of the tournament, which will make the atmosphere in the Centre Court even more exciting.
With Djokovic in devastating form this season, he looks unstoppable against any opponent. His only lacklustre set in the tournament came against American Dennis Kudla, where he fought back from a set point to win in straight sets.
But, Fucsovics has shown bright spots of his game against Djokovic in the past. He has taken a set off the Serbian in every encounter and will look to go one better this time. Fucsovics’ win against Rublev, displays his wealth of shots in his bag. His record in 2021 is 17-12 and will be looking to make amends to that.
