Predicted Celtic XI to face Ross County in the Scottish Premiership

Celtic romped home to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Christopher Jullien.

The Hoops will once again be the outright favourites to come away with full three points when they play host to eight-placed Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

Having played a game more, Neil Lennon’s side are currently two points clear of arch-rivals Rangers atop the league standings.

Manager: Neil Lennon

Formation: 3-5-2

Predicted XI

1. Fraser Forster (GK)

The Southampton loanee has established himself as the undisputed first-choice in goal for the Hoops this season and should retain his spot in the XI.

2. Jeremie Frimpong (RWB)

The former Man City starlet has made a massive impression in his debut season at Parkhead and Lennon should continue to rely on him.

3. Christopher Jullien (CB)

The Frenchman is one of the mainstays of Celtic’s backline and he should once again find himself among the starters for this one.

4. Kristoffer Ajer (LCB)

The Norwegian has been a regular fixture at the back for the Hoops and he should once again be among the starters for this one.

5. Jozo Simunovic (RCB)

The Croatian has looked a tad rusty following his return from a long injury lay-off but he might retain his place if Lennon opts to go in with a back-three system once again.

6. Jonny Hayes (LWB)

The veteran did a good job at both ends of the pitch in the 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock and he certainly deserves to retain his place.

7. Scott Brown (CDM)

An epitome of experience and unwavering consistency, the veteran continues to be a key cog in Celtic’s midfield.

8. Callum McGregor (CM)

The Scottish international couldn’t cap off a fine all-round display with a goal on Wednesday but he remains an indispensable component of Celtic’s midfield.

9. Olivier Ntcham (CAM)

The former Man City star created plenty of chances against Kilmarnock and there’s no way he can be left out of the XI after such a wonderful display.

10. Leigh Griffiths (ST)

The 29-year-old has made a great start to 2020 with two goals in two games and should aim to continue his resurgence against Ross County on Sunday.

11. Odsonne Edouard (ST)

The Frenchman continues to be Celtic’s key goal threat up top and will be expected to deliver the goods once again.
