Wolverhampton Wanderers Prediction: Probable XI to face Norwich City
Wolves entertain basement club Norwich City at the Molineux on Sunday as Nuno Espirito Santo aims to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League.
The Wanderers have put a foot in the Europa League round of 16 after beating Espanyol 4-0 in the first leg of last 32 at home on Thursday. Nuno will hope his boys replicate something similar against Norwich City at the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Canaries are bottom of the table, having won just once in their last five games and will enter Sunday’s contest as pure underdogs.
Team News
Ruben Vinagre is the only Wolves player out injured. The youngster is close to returning to full training.
Wolves Prediction: Probable XI
Formation: 3-4-3
Rui Patricio (GK)
Patricio had a couple of nervy moments against Espanyol in the Europa League but eventually managed to keep a clean sheet. He’ll be in goal on Sunday as well.
Matt Doherty (RWB)
Doherty has been a regular fixture in Nuno’s XI this season and is expected to start against the league’s basement club.
Willy Boly (RCB)
Boly has returned stronger from injury and will aim to keep a clean sheet on Sunday.
Conor Coady (CB)
A leader and a great organiser of the backline, Coady is a certainty to start against Norwich.
Romain Saiss (LCB)
Despite being a defensive midfielder, Saiss has majorly played in central defence this season and that is likely not to change for the Canaries’ visit to Molineux as well.
Jonny Otto (LWB)
The Spaniard is a busy player who can cause problems to the opposition with his overlapping runs down the left flank. He would retain his spot.
Joao Moutinho (CM)
The most experienced member of the Wolves side, Moutinho will look to take control of the game from minute one at Molineux.
Ruben Neves (CM)
Scored a cracking volley in Wolves’ 4-0 victory over Espanyol. Neves will certainly partner Moutinho in the middle of the park.
Adama Traore (RW)
Pacey, powerful and athletic, Traore could be a thorn for Daniel Farke’s side. He’ll keep his place on the right wing.
Diogo Jota (LW)
Scored a fine hat-trick against Espanyol that will give Jota a lot of confidence ahead of the Norwich game.
