Celtic welcome Livingston at Parkhead on Saturday as the Hoops aim to earn another three points which would take them a step closer to sealing their eighth league titles in a row.
Neil Lennon’s side won 2-0 at St. Mirren on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Timothy Weah and Ryan Christie. Now they’ll look to get the job done against ninth-placed Livingston.
Livingston picked up a vital win against Hamilton in midweek and will hope to build on that at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Kieran Tierney could miss out again but Lennon has said the defender would play again before the end of the season. The interim manager also confirmed that Dedryck Boyata will likely be out for the rest of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Ryan Christie and Filip Benkovic provided Celtic injury boost by returning to the squad at St. Mirren.
Bain is Celtic’s first-choice in goal now and is expected to start at the weekend.
Toljan remains error-prone, so Lennon will stick with Lustig at right-back.
Simunovic helped Celtic keep a clean sheet at St. Mirren and should start in central defence at the weekend as well.
Ajer has been really solid in recent weeks and is expected to partner Simunovic against Livingston.
Izaguirre did a decent enough job against St. Mirren. With Tierney set to miss out again, the Honduran should continue at left-back.
Brown is one of the first names on Lennon’s team sheet and should retain his place in the starting XI.
Arguably the Hoops’ player of the season, McGregor could be given a withdrawn role on Saturday. The Scotsman’s ability to pick a pass and play in different positions make him an asset for Celtic.
Rogic hasn’t played much this year due to injury problems. But now fully fit, the Australian could start in his preferred no.10 role.
Weah scored in the 2-0 victory over St. Mirren and should keep his place on the left wing against Livingston.
When on song, Forrest is simply unstoppable. The Livingston defenders will hope the Scotsman has an off day on Saturday.
