Sheffield United vs Ipswich Town predictions: Sheffield United line-up

Sheffield United should briefly go top of the Championship table by easing past already-relegated Ipswich Town at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

The Blades go into this game just three points behind Norwich City and have a better goal difference, while the Canaries do not play until later the same night. If they triumph over bottom-placed Ipswich Town, Chris Wilder’s men are effectively promoted to the Premier League.

Beating Ipswich won’t be that straight but the fact that they are already relegated and have won just four games all season should give Sheffield United a lot of confidence.

Team News

Billy Sharp is still out with a hamstring injury and could miss the upcoming fixture against Ipswich Town as well.

Other than Sharp, Wilder has no fresh injury problems ahead of the game.

Probable Sheffield United XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Chris Wilder

Dean Henderson (GK)

The Manchester United loanee is United’s undisputed first-choice in goal and he should start on Saturday.

Chris Basham (RCB)

Basham came off the bench in the 3-0 victory over Hull City. Now fully fit and raring to go, he is expected to start against Ipswich.

John Egan (CB)

Egan has been one of the crucial members of the Blades’ backline. He is a certain starter on Saturday.

Jack O’Connell (LCB)

O’Connell has been a regular under Chris Wilder and his performances this season have been hugely impressive.

Baldock’s energy up and down the right flank is a treat for the Blades fans to watch and he should continue in his position.

Hogan will get another chance to impress due to Sharp’s injury but the on-loan Aston Villa striker will need to make it count this time around.
