The Belgian youngster took part in the WTA Angers Arena Loire Open that recently concluded. She was ousted in the round of 16 by Jessika Ponchet.
Minnen made it to the quarterfinals last year and lost to Varvara Gracheva. In the round of 32, Minnen defeated America’s Elizabeth Mandlik in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Minnen fired in 7 aces during the match and the aces came to her aid in crucial stages of the match.
