Top seeds Marta Kostyuk and Oksana Kalashnikova square off against Olivia Nicholls and Alicia Barnett in the finals of the Open de Limoges on Saturday.

The British duo has played quite successfully throughout the year and now they find themselves in yet another final. This will be their 8th appearance in a final in 2022. They have won three finals this year while having lost four.
Barnett and Nicholls began their campaign in Limoges with a relatively comfortable win against the second-seeded team of Alexandra Panova and Natela Dzalamidze. The experienced British duo won the match in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (7-4). In the semifinal, Barnett and Nicholls got the better of Renata Voracova and Jessika Ponchet in a thrilling three-set encounter. Barnett and Nicholls came back from a set down to win the match 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-4.

The Ukrainian-Georgian duo has shown their class in the tournament thus far. They also have a good bit of experience playing together and their chemistry has worked wonders so far.
In the quarterfinals, Kostyuk and Kalashnikova defeated the team of Marine Partaud and Elixane Lechemia in an exciting contest that ended 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 10-4. Kostyuk and Kalashnikova produced a more solid performance against Anastasia Detiuc and Anna Blinkova in the semis to win the match 6-4, 6-1.

The head-to-head scoreline currently stands at 0-0 as these two teams have never crossed paths as yet. The team of Barnett and Nicholls has a couple of wins against Oksana Kalashnikova but on both occasions, Kostyuk wasn’t partnering with the experienced Georgian.
