Sixth seed Lucia Bronzetti locks horns with Croatian qualifier Jana Fett in the round of 16 of the Open de Limoges on Wednesday.

The Italian tennis pro came into the tournament on the back of six consecutive losses. Her last win came in the WTA 125 event in Vancouver in August when she finished runner-up in the competition. Last year at Limoges, Bronzetti crashed out of the tournament in the first round following a loss against Cristina Bucsa of Spain.
This time in Limoges, the 24-year-old Bronzetti has managed to overcome the first hurdle in the form of Jodie Anna Burrage. The former managed to win the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. She was aided by 8 double faults that Burrage committed.
Jana Fett
The Croatian athlete came into the tournament on the back of an exit in the round of 16 at the ITF event in the UAE. She lost to Carole Monnet in straight sets.
In the qualifying match in the Open de Limoges, Fett made light work of Taiwan’s Joanna Garland. Fett won the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. In the second round, Fett took on Joanne Zuger. The Swiss youngster was nowhere near her best as she made as committed as many as 9 double faults. Fett won the match 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) to keep her campaign going.
