Soon after the first season of Oshi no Ko concluded, its producers announced a second series. Daisuke Hiramaki directed its debut season at Doga Kobo Studios; Jin Tanaka wrote its scripts while Kanna Hirayama designed its characters.
The anime adaptation was based on a manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish), which became an instantaneous success on HIDIVE and won over an immense fan base.

After receiving widespread success, Oshi no Ko was honored with a second season. Studio Doga Kobo are currently producing it and the cast will return to voice their roles.
