It’s coming up to that time of year again – we’re getting ready for a brand new football season. The end of the summer always comes around quicker than we anticipate so it’s time to have a go at predicting how this season will turn out.
These predictions can lay down the foundations for those who are going to want to place a bet or two. Bettors are waiting for operators to release their promos in order to get their bets in order, but it’s good to get a head start.
Let’s take a look at some predictions for the 2024 season.
Predictions for the 2024 season.
New York Jets
It can be difficult to predict what’s going to happen in games so far off in the future – but we’ll give it a go. The Jets are set to play their first game against Buffalo Bills who the Jets managed to beat last season. They would be the underdog again in this game but there’s always a chance for it to come through in their favour again. We reckon it’ll be a win for the Jets in this game.
Week two sees the Jets against the Dallas Cowboys and this rivalry will make it a nail biter. But we predict that the Jets will be the winners overall.
The New England Patriots have been a constant headache for the Jets with 14 losses against them in a row. But we think this year is the year that they’ll finally bag the win.
For the fourth week, the Jets will be up against the Kansas City Chiefs. This is the reigning champion of last years season so unfortunately, we don’t think the Jets will manage to win this time round.
The Denver Broncos will be the competition for the Jets in week five. Their game last year ended with Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker being taken out for the rest of the season. So, we’re hoping for a better outcome this time around – we predict that the Jets will manage a win.
The sixth game of the season isn’t looking as lucky for the Jets. They’re up against the Philadelphia Eagles who they’ve never managed to beat, and it doesn’t look likely for them to start in the 2024 season.
For their seventh game after a week’s break, the Jets will be up against their New York counterpart – the Giants. They’re both on their home territory so it couldn’t be a fairer match. Both teams have great offensive sides and great quarterbacks so it could be a tough match. However, we think that the Jets will come out on top for this one.
New York Giants
Their first game will be against the Dallas Cowboys and with the Giants in the strongest shape for a while, this looks like an easy win.
Next up is the game against Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are a little difficult to predict as by the time this season comes around, they could have lost their quarterback Kyler Murray. Even if he is with the team, it’s still unlikely that they would win. So, we predict another win for the Jets in this game.
The third game could be where the Giants start to fall behind a little. We don’t know who is going to be the quarterback for the San Fran 49ers, but this team still has one of the best defences so it’s unlikely Giants will win.
For week four, the Giants will be back at home and playing the Seattle Seahawks. The Giants will be seeking their revenge after the beating they got last year so we’re hoping for a win from them.
Miami Dolphins are the competition for week five and even though we don’t know if Tua Tagovailoa will be there or not, we think the Giants will still be able to win. Their speed and teamwork have seen vast improvements that will definitely up their game.
Week six will see the Giants go up against Buffalo Bills. Joe Schoen and the head coach Brian Daboll will go up against their former team, so it’ll be a big fight on both sides. However, we do predict that Giants will end up on the losing side.
For their seventh game, the Giants will take on the Washington Commanders who always put up a big fight. Sadly, we think this one will be a loss for the Giants but we’re sure they’ll give the Commanders a run for their money.
We don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves with the predictions, so we’ll leave the rest of the season up for debate. You never know what could happen between now and the start of the season or what could happen as it begins. That’s all part of the fun. Who are you putting your money on this season?
