John B. Routledge (Chase Stokes)

Outer Banks made waves online when its debut season debuted in 2020 and Netflix soon announced a second series. Set in a beach community, Outer Banks follows John B and his group of teenage friends known as The Pogues as they search for treasure tied to his father’s disappearance.

As they race to locate the treasure, John B and Sarah Cameron must avoid both law enforcement and wealthy ‘Kooks’ as they search for it. Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline return as John B and Sarah Cameron respectively; fan favorites Pope (Jonathan Daviss) and JJ (Rudy Pankow) should also return in future episodes.

Elizabeth Mitchell will play Carla Limbrey, an antagonist with an air of menace under her pleasant exterior, who Ward relied on to find the Royal Merchant.

Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline)

Sarah Cameron was born on Figure Eight Island to wealthy parents with quick minds. Though often mistreated by Kooks, Sarah is good-hearted and quickly learning. She shares an older brother named Rafe; their relationship is far from cordial.

The second season of this teen drama will likely continue the story of Pogue John B and Sarah Cameron as they search for lost treasure while dodging police, leaving their country and dealing with personal issues. Austin North will reprise his role as Topper – Sarah’s ex-partner who despises Pogue John B’s Pogue lifestyle and strongly disapproves of their search efforts.

John B’s father Ward will also make an appearance to cause trouble since he was responsible for killing Sheriff Peterkin (Adina Porter). Furthermore, JJ, Kiara and Pope remain present.

Kiara Carrera (Madison Bailey)

Kiara Carrera will return for Season 2 of Outer Banks alongside John B and Sarah, as will Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline as Chase Stokes will also reprise their roles of Kiara Pope and JJ respectively alongside Madison Bailey Jonathan Daviss and Rudy Pankow as Kiara Carrera Pope and JJ respectively. Charles Esten and Drew Starkey may return as Sarah’s father Ward and brother Rafe respectively.

The series depicts rival groups of blue-collar and upper class North Carolina teenagers, and has received much acclaim for its portrayals of class issues. Bailey began acting professionally when she was 15, appearing in several hit shows such as Constantine and Black Lightning.

Pate recently told Entertainment Weekly (EW) that Season 2 will film scenes in the Bahamas.

Pope Heyward (Jonathan Daviss)

Not surprisingly, the core cast from Outer Banks will return for season two of Outer Banks. Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Rudy Pankow and Jonathan Daviss will all reprise their roles; Daviss plays Pope Heyward who acts as voice of reason when things get out of hand, although often goes ignored by his fellow Pogues members.

Charles Esten will return as villainous Ward Cameron; Drew Starkey as Rafe, Sarah’s troubled brother who has an extensive criminal past; Elizabeth Mitchell as menacing pirate Limbrey claims she has been double-crossed by Ward; expect plenty of high-octane action in the Bahamas this time around.

JJ (Rudy Pankow)

As JJ is the rebellious one of the group, his actions often land them in trouble. US actor Rudy Pankow who plays JJ can relate to her rebellious streak.

Outer Banks season one ended with John B and Sarah leaving their hometown, fleeing due to being falsely accused of murder by Sarah’s dad Ward and Rafe despite everyone believing they are dead. John will return in season 2.

Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss and Rudy Pankow will return for Outer Banks season 2, along with Elizabeth Mitchell who starred on Lost and Once Upon A Time as Limbrey, Sarah’s mother. Mitchell will portray an antagonistic local with hidden danger beneath their seemingly harmless appearance.

Ward Cameron (Charles Esten)

John B and Sarah have made it out alive from season one, and are now on a boat bound for the Bahamas. Netflix promises more high-octane fun in season 2, and Carlacia Grant as Kiara’s rich island cousin who belongs more with the Pogues than with Kooks will join Carlacia Grant on board as Cleo.

Charles Esten will reprise his role of Ward Cameron, an affluent businessman who hides a criminal past behind an apparently respectable facade. John B is his primary adversary and Ward is hunting down Royal Merchant gold.

Rudy Pankow returns as JJ Maybank, Austin North as Topper Thornton, Jonathan Daviss as Pope Heyward and Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron; Elizabeth Mitchell adds a dynamic Charleston native who is playing Limbrey to add another layer of danger and conflict into this drama series.

Rafe Cameron (Drew Starkey)

Season 2 sees Rafe embarking on his mission to acquire the Royal Merchant Treasure and bring it home, with new episodes set to arrive on Netflix on July 30, 2021!

Rafe’s desire for the gold cross isn’t his only source of trouble. When he discovers that Ward plans on giving it away to a museum, Rafe and his Pogues decide to retrieve it for themselves using a train of crates – however, when they arrive they find out it was empty!

Conclusion

Kiara’s parents advise her to steer clear of the Kooks; however, she agrees but impulsively kisses Topper at the party. Kiara overhears Rafe and Pope talking about melting cross and this infuriates Pope who threatens Rafe with murder until an argument with John B stops him from shooting him.
